Pass-to-first-bib

WHEN PASSING ALWAYS LOOK FOR THE BIB NOT THE FACE!!

When passing the ball don’t look for your favourite player on the team to pass to….You must pass to the bib not the face when playing a team sport like netball, if not, you put all other players out of position and as a result, good team play is jeopardized.

Whether you are attacking or defending, if players are by-passed, the whole team structure falls apart.

The consequences of not passing to the first player…

ckmk The attacking play is broken.
ckmk Players are forced out of their position and therefore into another area of the courtand this leads to crowding.

ckmk Opposition players are not manned up, and consequently, they get free to receive an easypass.

In all team sports, not just netball, team members must stick to playing in their area.

A well-drilled netballer will always pass the ball to the first clear player who has called for it. Once the ball is out of the player’s playing area this player must drop back into her position, ready to lead and call for the ball again.

If you are looking for a face, it implies you are more interested in making sure you share with a friend, and that means that you don’t have your team at heart.

In team sport, all team members are treated equally, which means while you are on the court you are best friends with everyone in the team.
