Training & Coaching Difference

There is a difference between a netball trainer and a netball coach.

A trainer, as in other sports, takes care of drills, warm ups, fitness and other aspects related to skill training.

Coaching is putting the right players in the right court positions and showing them how to play their positions and think netball.

While it may be difficult to find knowledgeable and experienced coaches, you may be surprised at just how many people could coach their own team under the right guidance.

Just remember that coaching and training are two different disciplines.

We will be discussing coaching throughout this section of the website so you can see what coaching really is and how to implement these coaching techniques.
